11.0 SHANSABANI PERSIANS OF GHÜR (GHÜRIDS)
1150-1175 Ala-ud-Din Husayn of Ghür: This central Afghan Prince sacks the city of Ghazna and drives the Ghaznavids into India where they continue to rule until 1186. Sets up residence in Herat.
1175-1206 Mu izz-ud-Din Muhammad of Ghür (nephew): (1175-1203 rules in the name of his older brother, Ghiyas-ud-Din Mohamed). Attacks and occupies much of Northern India. The Empire crumbles shortly after his death.
