3.0 INDIAN CONTROL
304 -297 BC Chandragupta and the Maurya Dynasty of India: Seleuco, after several attempts to seize western India is defeated by Chandragupta. In a bid for peace on his Eastern frontier, Seleuco cedes all of Afghanistan south and east of the Hindu Kush to Emperor Chandragupta.
304-274 BC Bindusara
274-236 BC Asoka (grandson of Chandragupta) : Brings the Maurya Dynasty to the height of its power. After his death, the empire begins to wane.
236-185 BC Continuing Mauryan control of Eastern Afghanistan until the defeat at the hands of the Greco-Bactrians
